The Twin Disc Inc company works as a manufacturer, and distributor of power transmission parts for the marine industry, off-road vehicles segment, and industrial sector. The company was founded in 1918 by P.H. Batten, and originally manufactured transmissions and clutches for farm tractors. Twin Disc played a crucial role in both World Wars as they were a main manufacturer in defense weaponry transmissions and clutch systems. In 2004, Twin Disc acquired Rolla SP Propellers, followed by another acquisition in 2006 of BCS Group. Their largest acquisition came in June of 2018 when they purchased Veth Propulsion, further expanding their business entities.
